Robert Goeke is the interim director of the Wind Ensemble and associate conductor of the Chesapeake Youth Symphony Orchestra where he teaches children ages eight to eighteen. He is also the music director and founder of the St. John's Chamber Orchestra in Alexandria, VA. As a tuba player, Robert served with the 76th and 257th Army Bands, and currently serves with the 229th Army Band of the Maryland National Guard. He has performed with orchestras, bands, and community theaters in twelve countries including Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, and Iraq. His teachers include David Searle, Julien Benichou and Kenneth Kiesler.
