Vladimir Lande - Conductor, Concert Orchestra
 
Conductor Vladimir Lande is the Music Director of the COMSIC Symphony Orchestra, the Washington Soloists Chamber Orchestra in Washington D.C., the Maryland Conservatory Orchestra, and Johns Hopkins Chamber Orchestra. He is a guest conductor of the National Gallery Orchestra in Washington D.C. and Principal Guest Conductor of the St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra (Russia). He regularly appears as Conductor with the famous Donetsk Ballet Company in Europe and the United States. For the past seven seasons, Vladimir has been Principal Guest Conductor of the Bachanalia Festival Orchestra, New York.
 
In the Summer of 2004, Maestro Lande was invited to conduct the opening concert of the internationally renown White Nights Festival including a performance in the Grand Philharmonic Hall in St. Petersburg, Russia. In 2006, Vladimir Lande made his conducting debut with the Baltimore Opera Orchestra.
 
In 2007 – 2008 season, Vladimir Lande is scheduled to perform with the Donetsk Ballet Company in the United States, Europe, and China. He will also return to record and conduct performances with the St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra. Vladimir Lande’s first Compact Disc with the St Petersburg Symphony will be released in the spring of 2007 under the Arabesque Label. His next project will include another CD release with renowned Saxophonist, Gary Louie as a soloist. Maestro Lande is also set to debut with the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra (Oklahoma) and the Columbus Symphony Orchestra (Ohio). He is also scheduled to make his first conducting appearance at the Ravello Festival, Italy.
 
Maestro Lande’s recent tours have taken him to New Zealand, Australia, United Kingdom (including a performance in Cathedral St. Martin’s in the Field, London), Italy, Russia, and most of the United States.
 
In addition to his busy conducting schedule, Maestro Lande has maintained a successful solo and chamber music career as an oboist. He is a member of the renowned Poulenc Trio.
