2025-2026 Audition Requirements

Who should audition

New Members

CYSO welcomes new members by audition throughout the season.

Here is what you need to do:

• Fill out the audition application form

• Pay the $45 audition fee (upon acceptance, this fee covers your registration).

• If you wish to audition in person, auditions will be scheduled on an individual basis. Once your application form has been received you will be notified of possible audition times. Live auditions will be held during the evenings from Monday, June 2 to Thursday, June12th, 2025 at St. Anne’s Parish House.

• If auditioning virtually, auditions should be submitted by an UNLISTED YouTube Link and are due by June 12th to the CYSO Executive Director.

• Prospective students age 8 to 21 who meet our audition requirements may receive a one year membership when there is a vacancy in an ensemble.

• Prospective student videos will be sent to the Music Director and Judges for review and placement by the Executive Director when the application is complete and the fee is paid.

• Placement will be announced by email in late July for May-June auditions.

• Accepted applicants can hold their spots with a $100 non-refundable deposit, due by August 15th.

Returning musicians

All current CYSO students wishing to return for the upcoming season will need to audition for placement.

• IIf you wish to audition in person, auditions will be scheduled on an individual basis. Once your application form has been received you will be notified of possible audition times. Live auditions will be held during the evenings from Monday, June 2 to Thursday, June 12th, 2025 at St. Anne’s Parish House.

• If auditioning virtually, auditions should be submitted by an UNLISTED YouTube Link and are due by June 12th to the CYSO Executive Director.

• All current CYSO members who wish to return must audition at this time; the only exception would be for medical reasons.

• Fill out the audition application form

• Pay the $45 registration fee

• Send your audition video to Executive Director .

After acceptance, returning musicians must:

• Complete the annual registration forms (sent with your welcome letter).

• Pay the non-refundable $100 tuition deposit by August 18th.

• Pay the balance of the tuition fees by the first rehearsal of the season.
