Volunteer with CYSO
Thank you for your interest in volunteering! Our parent volunteers are essential to CYSO's success.
Parent Volunteer Requirement
All CYSO families are required to contribute 4 volunteer points per season. Points are earned based on the level of commitment:
- Ensemble Co-Manager: 4 points
- Committee Chair: 4 points
- Committee Co-Chair: 4 points
- Committee Member: 2 points
Our Committees
Fundraising Committee
Plan and execute fundraising events throughout the year, including auctions and community partnerships.
Event Committee
Coordinate concert logistics, manage volunteers on performance days, assist with setup and teardown.
Communications Committee
Manage social media, create newsletters, update the website, and promote concerts and events.
Alumni Committee
Connect with CYSO alumni, organize reunion events, maintain alumni database, and foster relationships.
CommUNITY Concert Committee
Organize our annual community outreach concert and help bring music to underserved communities.
Student Committee
Led by student members; plans social events, fosters student leadership, and provides feedback.

Removing barriers to participation and ensuring all talented young musicians have access to quality orchestral education.
Our Mission
The Musical Bridges program ensures that financial circumstances never prevent a talented student from participating in CYSO. Through scholarships, instrument loans, and teacher support, we remove barriers to participation.
