The Chesapeake Youth Symphony Orchestra’s Advanced Summer Orchestra Camp, July 13–17, is a five-day intensive for advanced musicians ages 14–18 (incoming freshmen–seniors). Activities include chamber coaching, full orchestra rehearsals, masterclasses, orchestral excerpt study, and workshops on audition prep, ensemble leadership, and advanced techniques, led by professional regional musicians. Students receive individual and ensemble coaching to refine tone, interpretation, intonation, and collaboration, plus sessions in movement, improvisation, and creative expression.

The week concludes with a public performance and readies students for youth orchestra auditions, honor ensembles, collegiate study, and future performance opportunities.

Early enrollment is $400 through March 31. After March 31 the price increases to $450.
